Benzie County Government & Organizations

Benzie County Government - There are seven commissioners on the board, each elected on a partisan basis for two-year terms (January 1 to December 31) from districts in the county that are approximately equal in population.

Benzie County Chamber of Commerce (Benzonia) - They promotes a thriving four-season economy and high quality of life through networking, training opportunities, marketing and advocacy on behalf of the business community.

Frankfort-Elberta Area Chamber of Commerce (Frankfort) - They strive to promote the civic, commercial, educational, and industrial welfare of Frankfort-Elberta and the surrounding area.

Legal Links

Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) - The codification of the general and permanent rules published in the Federal Register by the executive departments and agencies of the Federal Government. It is divided into 50 titles that represent broad areas subject to Federal regulation. Each volume of the CFR is updated once each calendar year and is issued on a quarterly basis.

Michigan Legislature - A free service of the Michigan Legislative Council, the Michigan House of Representatives, and the Michigan Senate. Featuring a calendar of legislative activities, meetings and bill activity.

Michigan State Bar Foundation - Provides leadership and grants to improve access for all to the justice system, including support for civil legal aid to the poor, law-related education, and conflict resolution. The Michigan State Bar Foundation was established in 1947 by lawyers and judges to help the legal profession meet its responsibilities to the public.

Michigan Supreme Court - Committed to educating the public about the justice system. To that end, the Court encourages the public to attend oral arguments and public hearings, and encourages journalists to cover those Court proceedings. The Court also asks journalists and members of the public to show respect for parties, attorneys, courtroom observers, and the justice system by observing proper decorum.

State Bar of Michigan - Supports many justice initiatives that help make available high-quality civil legal services to all Michigan citizens, assuring that the justice system is strong, equal, and fair in its application.
