Benzie County is located in the northwest corner of Michigan's lower peninsula with its western border on Lake Michigan. Benzie is a gateway to the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Benzie County has something for everyone all year long.

Benzie Area Historical Museum - Located in Benzonia, this museum houses many exhibits, including the Ann Arbor Car Ferries, Bruce Catton/Civil War, Logging, Early Benzie County History.

Cannon in Father Charlevoix Park - For over a century this Civil War cannon has stood in the Father Charlevoix Park in Frankfort. For more information contact the
Frankfort-Elberta Area Chamber of Commerce at 231-352-7251.

The Frankfort Gateway - Over 70 years old, this marker, which resembles two lighthouses, has served as a memorial to the car ferries who were based in Frankfort.

The Point Betsie Lighthouse - A local landmark and well known spot for photographers, this lighthouse has stood sentry on the Lake Michigan shoreline for over 100 years. The lighthouse is located a few miles north of Frankfort. Contact the Frankfort-Elberta Area Chamber of Commerce for additional information.
